Meet the residents
The residents at Noo Beginnings all have a story to tell. Here are just a few of the colourful characters!
sheep
We have 20 sheep living at the sanctuary, our newest and youngest woolly resident Milo came to us at just 1 week old! He was rejected by his mum meaning he required hand rearing and bottle feeding, care and attention we were happy to give.
pigs
Frank and Bruno were originally purchased as micro pigs who came to live their lives at Noo beginnings when their family moved abroad. Frank and Bruno are both very intelligent and huge characters with lots to say (especially when you’re late with their breakfast!)
chickens
Noo beginnings is currently home to over 30 hens and 2 roosters all with their own vibrant personalities, relationships and dynamics with each other and people. The chickens enjoy all sorts of snacks, favourite being sweetcorn.
TUrkeys
We have 4 turkeys at Noo beginnings who all came to us last year. They are wonderfully vocal, affectionate and curious birds. They are very protective of Little Beep Beep, the smallest turkey who lives here who never grew to be as big as the others.
goats
We have 7 goats living at the Sanctuary. Ronnie and Reggie, our biggest goats, were the first mammalian residents and definitely the friendliest beings that call the Sanctuary home, it’s almost impossible to go into their paddock without being pulled in for cuddles.
Dogs
Noo Beginnings is home to 8 dogs all rescued and taken on from owners who could no longer take care of them. Amber, our Anatolian Shepherd was a stray found on the streets of Turkey and brought to England to live in peace. She is extremely gentle and patient, and she loves sitting watching the sheep.
